just realize that if you gear for top speed you will loose some acceleration off the line. and vice versa. an trail is right up on top or lower on bottom for top speed. i did some math with my gear tooth counts and if i was gonna do it i would look at adding 1 to the top & subtracting 1 from the bottom. that should not affect chain size and gives you a decent ratio if you wanna gear for top speed. the deciding factor is gonna be availability of the gears you want.

Another deciding factor is rider weight, and ability for the engine to be able to pull the gear or not.
