Swapping the 1.25 ripsaw out for a 1.5 talon. Keep the 25 top gear or drop to a 24? Thoughts? 2016 renegade X. Clutched with Laflamme clutch kit. 90% trail rider.

I'd agree with Joey here too. My '16 XRS Renegade 800R came with 23/45 gearing paired to the 1.5" RipSaw track. I've re-geared to the 24/45 to assist with some better top-end. The sled will handle the 24T just fine.

Sounds like I want to gear down then.

Just ordered the 24t to pair with the 1.5" composit talon t-38 track. Should hook much better than the crappy ripsaw! I hit 104, 1/2 way through break in on gps. If it will still hit 95-100 with the 24t I will be happy. I'd rather have the low end grunt anyways.

Probably even keep the clutches a little cooler

Never understood why they even put a 1.25" track on a gade? Considered a crossover sled and they put a hard pack trail track on it?
