Do you guys periodically use Seafoam to keep the fuel system clean on Etec Engines? Or is there a better Fuel Additive out there?

I use the starbrite fuel treatment…., Dealer recommended using it for every tank. I just use it occasionally on the trail and at home fill ups. Helps keep injectors clean. I have been using it for about four years with zero fuel related problems.

I use BG44k, it's hard to find but the poly etheramine chemistry is very highly concentrated. It's in OEM tsb's for JLR direct injection misfires. 21,000km on my 2018 850 (spare sled now) and zero engine or injector issues.

Buy some Yamaha Ring Free or Evinrude Carbon Guard and run in every tank. Etec injectors aren't really known for getting dirty but those two additives will keep the combustion chambers clean and also help with the exhaust valves.

I use Star Tron as well.

I only use it at the beginning of the season, once in the middle of the season, and on my last ride of the season, just before storage.

BG44K is awesome, auto mechanics swear by it around my area. How much do you put in a tank and how often do you use it in your sled?

I run HotShot Secrets Gasoline Extreme and their FR3 in my oil. Seems to be running well!

I'll run half a can to a full tank ethanol-free premium, usually the 2nd tank of the season.

I have been following a similar pattern on all my power sports equipment. Been using it for over 10 years and problem free for extended storage too.
