What are the thoughts on this one? Didn't get much of the spotlight, but I've been waiting for a new version of the wireless Bv2S hoping they might doo something since the Oxygen was released. Maybe this is it?

Introducing our new Exome Modular Helmet - Ski-Doo

I like the sun visor. Looks like it has venting options, which is one thing I've desired on the BV2S. Definitely interested...

Update: Here's the link to marketing video for helmets which includes the Exome

There aren't any specs listed as the helmet has yet to "drop". The Mission looks like a great helmet and I have one riding buddy that has it an likes it. It has been basically unavailable all winter. I get it, you don't like the mask... I personally have zero issue with the mask. Having the mask ensures your moist breath exits the helmet. As long as it's on, even if stopped.
This Exome seems to even incorporate some of the Mission design with the way it evacuates the air but with the mask doesn't require movement to perform the function. I also really like having the tail light on the BV2S at night. Hoping the Exome retains that feature. It looks like it does but not certain if it's a reflector versus powered light. Anyone that has ridden behind someone with a lighted BV2S at night can appreciate that feature in snow dust.

They have done this with other helmets; AFAIK it means that the smaller sizes - XS, S, Medium - have a smaller physical outer shell with different padding depending on the size, whereas the Large, XL, XXL have a bigger outer shell. I am not sure of what the size cutoff is for which get the small shell and which gets the large shell.

Has anyone seen the price of the Exome helmet? I am interested, but I am also interested in the Castle X CX950.

I am really turned off to BRP helmets currently. After years of dealing with their junk (poor quality, Chinesium) heated shields - BV2S and Oxygen - that stop heating, scratch easily, have poor optical clarity as well as numerous bad BRP cords, I am ready to move on.

I was at the dealer a few weeks ago. They said about October they will start putting winter stuff out. Buuuutttt, keep checking we might have some on a back shelf.

Sick of summer and it can end. They have absolutely no winter stuff out. Can't even look at it but instead have to look at endless motorcycle stuff. How boring

I believe it’s the one that’s a newer version of the modular. And yeah it’s still summer but I remember the Oxygen first year if you didn’t get one by September you pretty much didn’t get one that season and with shortages of everything I figured to get as soon as I can. I tried 2 dealerships one had no clue of the helmet the other said it never got a release date for them?

I picked my sled up friday and was really considering an exome but after reading these reviews now I have to rethink what to get. I don't want to have to plug helmet in every time I ride, Real cold situations maybe but not every time. I have to ask, are you able to keep face warm enough with open face helmet and goggles?

Just did two more days in single digit weather, yes it had to be plugged in for the shield to stay clear. It’s warm on the face and my glasses fog shortly on taking off but clear quickly and stay clear. After having a Oxygen and a Mission even though this one’s not perfect I like it the best for my glasses situation. If glasses wasn’t a factor I’d stick with the Mission no plugging in ever required in two seasons of owning one.

I'm ordering the heated shield for mine, just sucks it's obviously an issue freezing lens, I called everywhere just trying to get it for the 69$ extra I believe it was because of the issue nobody willing except a guy I saw on YouTube doing reviews on these, I called them he's giving it at cost, so I found my new store to shop at, Blackmans I believe it is, great people, and I wanted the flat black one to, but he said msrp on just heated lens was 135, his cost is 95 or something close, so anyone willing to help someone they don't have to will earn my business, going up north soon cause Illinois isn't getting snow at all so will see how it goes, I liked my mod 2 and 3 cause I didn't need heated lens ever and didn't want wires, just hope it comes before I go
