let it idle down for a few seconds like 10-20 seconds then turn it off
this is comon with any gasoline engine thats run wot then turned off

Like he said, let it idle a bit to cool the hot spots and let it idle down before shutting it off.

Its build up gas in the pipe and since its so hot it flashes over and back fires. Like everyone has said let it idle down and it will use all the fuel and shut off normal.

Turn your idle down a bit. It should help it stop backfiring. But you still need to let it idle down after a hard run

Ditto! Also you may want to keep and eye on the PTO seal, any grease on your belt guard is a problem.
