Drive belt side clearance

I was wondering if there is any way to adjust the drive belt side clearance in the primary. Reading DJ's clutching IQ, he talks about side clearance of .030". I don't know if this pertains to Doo clutches or was just a general statement. My clutch with new belt is around .090". Searching the site here turned up very little info. Anyone with experience (Joe, Bill, BJ) please let us know.
