Drain Fuel Tank

438 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  CANTCME
I stored my sled with a full tank of fuel but I want to drain it completely and add fresh fuel. Even though I added stabilizer, my sled a little rough for the first tank last year, so I just want to replace it with new.

any suggestions?

LAST YEAR I DID A SIPHION and it woork real well got almost all of the gas out and i just added fresh gas (93 octane) and it went well
It's pretty easy, just pop the fuel line off at the base of the tank on the brake side and slip on a longer hose into a jerry can. Don't pull out the plastic tip from the grommet, it's what keeps the rubber sealed around the hole.

I drain my tank every year for storage because I don't want gas flowing into the crabs and drying out.

Same here. I just used a siphion and it worked well. I got 90% of the gas out. That last little bit I wasn't worrry about. I think that this is the fastest and easy way to do it.
