Check out this site US Trail Maps

These maps are accurate up to a few meters and are up to date.
I just got off the phone with them, (supper nice guy) they will have much more to offer before the trails open. More states and update on current maps in a few weeks.
Each map has all state and local trails mapped along with pit stops/gas etc.
These maps are made to be uploaded to your GPS.
This is what many of us have been waiting for!!!

I don't think you can upload the maps...just tracks, routes and waypoints.
Check out www.teamsnirt.net
you can get GPS tracks of snowmobile trails there too.
$25 gets you marked tracks of all groomed snowmobile trails where ever they have traveled or from others who have donated tracks. Large portions of northern Wisconsin and UP.
for more answers to questions check it out or email [email protected]
If you have any tracks you would like to donate and they can use them they give you a free membership.
what type of garmin gps is the us trailmaps compatible with?

Anything that will accept a route or tracks.

They don't have detailed maps for many areas. I spoke with them at length at the NY snoshow. I think they're going to have a hard time with the clubs as the clubs make a lot of $$ on selling maps. They seem to think otherwise...There are very few guys riding with a GPS on their sled these days.

Do what we do..just download the tracks after a ride and overlay them on a map. Done.
