Dootalk Locking Up

Dootalk keeps locking up on me after about 10-15 minutes (roughly). I usually have to exit out of Dootalk all together and come back to it in a little bit. It is not happening to me on anyother website. Is this just me or is it happening to others? This has been going on for a good week or more for me

The same thing happened to me twice this morning. I thought it was just my laptop but maybe not.

Yes sence the new server it locks up all the time for me. Opening pages take 1-2 minutes when really bad. It always comes up error page cant be desplayed after waiting 30 seconds. I have to click back and press it again .

Sence the sever has been changed dootalk isnt as good in my opinion.

Yes, I've had the same problem for a couple of weeks now. Not good!

The site is very slow and locks up - making it hard to use.

So does anyone know what the problem is? I know there was a new server installed a couple weeks ago, is it just a matter of working out the glitches?

Guys,

Bear with the site moderators. I am sure they are doing everything they can to get the new sever "TWEEKED" so things will go smoothly. Don't forget the moderators do this as volunteers, It's not like they are getting paid as if was their full time job.

Ditto to all the above, Slow, pages not loading, sometimes can't even get in at all....hmmm??? get an error 502 bad gateway whatever that means???

its been a couple of weeks now, its been slow....and errors. with the new server its understandable, ill be patient for now lol.

Yup, ever since the move. You would think the move was a "good thing" or "upgrade" but appearently not.

Im hoping all this will go away once rev-rider modifys the picture section of Doo-talk...or so i hope!

Nobody's knocking the volunteer job that they do. I just wanted to make sure the problem was with them, and not my computer. Everybody is used to how smooth and fast Dootalk usually runs, so when something isn't right I just assume its my computer.

Yup, same here. Long wait between clicks, I get the "page cant be displayed" error message and sometimes my replies just vanish.

Frustrating - I thought the move to the new server was supposed to be better.

This stuff kills me....

We knew it would take some time to get the site to run properly when we moved servers. That's why I let everybody know to be patient. Our old server hard crashed every 3 days and had to be rebooted. These servers do not...so that's better.

It is being worked on, every day and every night.. I don't know why it is not running perfectly so I actually hired a company to look at it.

We certainly did not make this move to make things worse.

All I can ask is that you be patient. If any of you are server tuners and can offer some advice, I'm all ears. If not, please read one of the other dozen posts complaining about the site performance and nod your head in agreement...
