I have an 09 summit X that was stripped down/modded before I bought it. The stock snow flap and taillight are gone. Currently there is no taillight. I'm thinking of just buying a generic LED taillight for a trailer.

What are the voltages coming from the wiring harness?

When LED lights are put in the stock taillight are there resistors used?

Do people use LED taillights or do they get covered with snow?

Anything else I should think about?

I would start it and check voltage supplied myself if I didn't have most of the sled torn apart.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies and welcome.

$20 for 2 trailer lights is easier on the checkbook than $70 for something purpose built. Money better spent on making it handle.

Thanks for the suggestions.
