Mine on a 1200 Renegade X not sure what mileage was on before I purchased. I put on 3400kms this year with no issues. It was more of the needing to know how bad it will be when I pulled out kinda thought. My friend had issues with his 2019 900T cutting out and was related to the sock being near black with dirt. I was pleasantly surprised to see the color and how little dirt was trapped. It near needs to be linked to the tube screen on the intake being eliminated on the newer models. Inspected the end screen and nothing there. Checked the inside of the tank and nothing. No issues with float or pump.

I am not too often on the 2 smoke pages and wonder if they are having issues with these. I just went thru partzilla and they show same part numbers for 4 stroke and 2 stroke. Looked at part number for my 1200 and not the same number.

We all all know that air gets sucked into the tank of these GEN4's, curious to know if any way smoke "pollution", from the air, drivebelt debris....etc could be sucked into the vent, of course it don't happen overnight but for sure it happens, blackened filter i mean, more often to some than others, just a thought?
I asked where the tank vent was located on the gen4 as I own an XR. My XR vent is hosed above the left shock tower above the belt guard along the frame to a molded nipple in the rigid side panel. There was a crack in mine and fixed it. I always suspected a potential for belt dust as the tank can be in a vacuum from time to time.
