Does anyone know if it is possible to rebuild the 850's Crank shaft and install new bearings? Rebuilt many older sleds but not anything like this. Can't find any info on it.
bearings are shot and cracked crank case. is it worth to rebuild? or get a new crate engine?
if new crate Engine where do you guys recommend getting one,

There is no easy way out of your situation. It all depends on your wrenching skills and parts prices. If you can rebuild with the good parts while replacing the worn out ruined stuff for considerably cheaper than buying a whole motor that's the route I would go.
FYI, an 850 crankshaft rebuild provided by any supplier will be from BRP. If anything this is a good thing considering the split rods on an 850 which requires special tooling.
