Does anyone use communicators in helmets with the BRP helmets with the breath box? How do you wire them? I bought Sena 20S communicators for the girlfriend and she uses a BRP Modular. It comes with both a wire or a boom mic, I assume I will need to use the wire mic. Just wondering what experiences you all have had. Primary use is for music anyway, but I spent all that money to have communication too, it would be nice to use it.

Gadejethro, I have a bv2s helmet and us the Collett communicator (10 of us). They have communicators for specific helmets, the mouth piece fits into the side of the breath box. There is no external noise , others hear me clearly. I am the only one in our group with the bv2s and others say they hear me best. Hope this helps

I have no experience with new AMP series but our experience is similar to yours. We have 4 hbc200's in our group. We have had mixed experience. My dad rides with his shield cracked a lot and all you can hear is an open mic/engine noise nearly constantly when he is with us. My wife has a mod 2 helmet but she has electric shield and never uses the breath box, I can hear her talking perfectly. I have a mod 2 and wear glasses so I have the breath box on all the time and she says she can't hear me well at all. I've tried the pro-mics with little change. I thought about putting the mics I side the breath box too but I think it would be a pain in the butt with the removable mask.

I used Collett Communicators for a long time and they worked fairly well until I got the latest model with the passenger set. Problems with the cables mostly....and the service...pathetic. They basically no longer make the cable between the driver and passenger which is something I needed. I laughed and said you must be kidding? I spend all this money and I can't use it because of a cable. She must have been in a real pissy mood cuz she hung up on me.

So I bought a pair of UClear Amp Plus communicators and I am THRILLED!!! No more tethered to a stupid external battery, no more wire to connect to my passenger, and best of all, no more microphone in my mouth!!! The little mics extending from the speaker attaches higher near the brim of the helmet (kind of near your forehead). I don't know exactly how that technology works but it works perfectly. I don't usually listen to music while riding but I started to do so and I like it. The sound is great, but I regret not getting the AmpPro, because apparently the sound is even better then the AmpPlus.

Ok - I have a couple questions regarding the Amp communicators.... if I moved on these, I would buy one for each of my motorcycle and sled helmets, one for my wife's motorcycle helmet, and a cpl buddies would buy them for their sled helmets as well... at least two of us wear Bv2s helmets... do they work good? I like my mouthpiece fairly tight - will they still hear me?
Also, with regards to operation.... can each person listen to their personal preference of music while riding? Ie can I listen to country while my boy listens to rock music? If so, and we decide to speak, do we need to push a button, or will our voice automatically interrupt the music? Just curious on this, because we would def want to talk... also, can u mute your voice while listening to music, but enable it if someone speaks to you? Reason I ask, my wife likes to sing lol... so she wants to now if she listens to tunes (different from mine), is she able to mute her voice, but then enable it if I speak to her or ask her something?
Finally, is there fm tuner on these? Are they hard to sync? I'm not the most savvy lol...
Thanks

We have used the colletts in BV2s for years, ours are getting tired, the specific version for the bv2s has thin speakers, we have updated to bigger\thicker ones from collett.

Batteries will hold a charge for a day in the cold.

after 3 years-ish you will need new ones as performance will degrade over time as with any rechargeable.
