hey guys, sooo ive got some clutching questions, i dont own a mini z or mini rev but know they basically have a honda gx motor in them. what kind of clutches do these have? basically i got an old school elan the other day in rough shape and id love to convert it to a 4 stroke... especially a honda. i love my new 1200 i wanna try a 4 stroke in the elan lol. ideas? thoughts? input?

The standard clutches on the mini z are a centrifuges drum clutch they can handle about 10-12 hp if you need more than that you will have to go to a disc clutch they are about 300 dollars
That is chain drive though in the left side of the engine

Your next option is Jr racing billet clutches they are about 700 dollars for the setup but you may have issue fitting that stuff in the chassis

I have seen however a larger Briggs v twin fitted into an old exciter chassis that uses stick style clutches I'm not sure if his setup but I should see him at the track this weekend I'll try and remember ti get more info on his setup if you want
