how do I 'clean' the RAVE 99 mxz 500?

ok so, i seen the link to the off-road.com/rave.html, but its still somewhat foggy for me.

If the pics had arrows, I'd be better off.

and would a stuck rave make the engine hard to start?
or would that have any effect on why the 'primer' is not helping to start the machine? (yes, it is working properly, clear gas lines dont lie.)

No to the hard to start and primer question. Take one apart at a time, they are really a straight forward design. After you feel the primer make a couple real good squirts, crack the throttle a LITTLE and then try. One tip, make sure you put a rag or towel under the rave valves so any little parts you might drop don't vanish into the black hole under the engine.
