No I am not sponsored or otherwise. But I recently grabbed a CKX Mission helmet from Rosseau Road in Port Sydney and holy ****, it is the best thing ever, so I thought I'd rant about that for a second.
I came from a combo MX / Goggle setup which worked really well...or so I thought. The mission isn't cheap but it does EVERYTHING better. If you're in the market for a helmet, get one. I legitimately can't imagine there's a better helmet out there. Here's why:

- It doesn't fog. EVER. -20, out of breathe and dripping with sweat from digging your sled out, with not even a hint of motion to provide airflow? Doesn't matter. Doesn't fog. It's insane how good it is.
- It's so bloody warm. There is ZERO wind or airflow interference. I no longer ride with my balaclava, even on railbeds at -20...just a thin neck warmer. Between the various skirts that velcro up and my jacket, no wind gets in at all. This makes a HUGE difference in reducing fatigue on longer rides.
- For almost the exact same reason as above, it's quiet. Most people may not care...but it makes a big difference for three reasons. One, it's less mentally tiring when you're riding 6-8 hours a day. Two, it's way easier to hear your music. Three, when combined with the complete lack of wind or cold, it's an almost therapeutic experience. I know this sounds ridiculous but man it's amazing.
- The visibility, in any condition. Huge field of view through a crystal clear lens, much better than my goggles. Can't decide if it's sunny or cloudy? No worries - the sun shield flips up and down instantly and easily, while riding, so you're always prepared. Sun right in your eyes? Flip the "peak" down to the bottom position and you're set. There's never a compromise...within seconds it can adapt to any conditions.
