So far here is what I've done:

1) Took off stock bars and removed and cut off top of steering post. Fabricated and welded on a 7/8" tube with knurls to mount a 5.5" fly riser and 1-1/8" fly aero-taper bars with hooks.

2) Had to completely make new wiring haress for handlebars to adapt my arctic cat handwarmers (3 wire) to the Skidoo harness as well as my new kill switch.

3) Modified left hand side switch box to fit on the bars with the brakes and grips (not enough room as the doo switch panel is like twice as wide as cat's).

4) Removed the right hand side switches/throttle. Replaced with kill switch from Honda CR250 motocross bike and aluminum throttle block. Had to use a throttle lever from my 2002 Sno Pro as the skidoo one wouldnt fit!

4) Removed windshield and fairing, ordered new Cobra flyscreen...

.... but I ran out of parts :-(

Things still to do:
1) Install my new USI SPX skis when they come in.
2) Pickout what suspension I'm going to buy (Fox, Ohlins, or Custom Axis) and install.

You know I'm not even sure. I bought it off my friend who had two since he made a mistake and ordered twice. Its really nice, 2 peice.

However the pivot point is too far off the bars for the stock skidoo throttle. Had to use an arctic cat throttle off my sno pro!

why did u cut off the steering post and knurl it?? was the stock one not like that or just not wide enough to fit the clamps??

No the stock post on non-X models has a flat top with 4 bolt holes that is used to bolt on the mini-ape-hanger stock bars with the movable windshield. The only way to get real risers and bars on is to get a pivot adaptor then risers, or an X steering post, or make one like I did!!

That is like having a ford truck with a Dale Jr. plate on the front. Keep the green on the cat. Please donot insult Doo with green. If that sled breaks down a lot this year you might want to take that green off for sure.
