I hope someone can help me out, My 2000 mxz 700 idles roughly when i start it cold, once it warms up it runs fine. I have gone through the carbs twice now and everything is clean. Does anyone know what the factory setting for the pilot screws is supposed to be? The sled does have dpm if it makes a difference. When i checked the pilot screws there both set at about 3/4 turn out.
Thanks. Penguin.

on my 02 600 the manual says 1.5 turns out. mine would never idle below 3000 at that setting so i put them a 1 1/4 turns out and it idles great at 1800... not sure if the 700 is different, but 1 1/4 turns works nice on the 600...

If your 600 has TM carbs wouldn't turning them in more be leaner? Your high idle would be a lean condition right?

well it seems that is was running a little rich at idle at 1.5 turns. 11/4 turns should be a little leaner, not sure why it wqs idling high, but 1 1/4 turns seems to be right on.....
