try emailing or calling Alssnowmobile.com

They don't have it on their website, but often they have it.

check for potential spam.com is another one that you typically have to call or email to ask for the part.

That boot isn't as critical as the other side. I've taken the one off my Tundra and cleaned itup real good (put mine through the dishwasher) and then coated it with silicone. I used the spray stuff that is similar to the Flex-Seal brand. It looks great, still holding together 10+ years later.

If you can't find an interchangeable one, I agree these aren't super critical but for keeping snow out of the carbs.

I found a replacement for the unobtanium 570043600 airbox adaptor boots for 34mm Mikuni carbs. The Bombardier / Skidoo part number is 508000203. This alternative is still available new! I got mine for the same or less than what people charge on eBay for dried up old ones.

Note that this is NOT an exact match. However, it is very close. I think it will work for most sleds with airboxes that are supposed to use the 570043600 boots.

The differences:

1. The 508000203 boot is about .25" longer than the 570043600. You can see the difference in a couple of the pictures. Unless your airbox fits very tightly in the engine compartment, I don't think this extra 1/4 inch is likely to cause clearance issues.

2. There is a bump molded into the groove that wraps around the edges of the hole in the airbox. This boot has a slight angle, so I think the bump (notch) is intended to index the boot so it has the right orientation. I was able to remove it with a sharp X-acto blade to ensure a good seal.

I did not have to modify/enlarge the holes in the airbox.

I'm using these on a 1999 Skidoo Formula DLX 380. The airbox on this sled may not be correct. I suspect a previous owner installed one from a 1999 MXZ 440. But it seems to work fine. We have a snow storm headed for Boston this weekend, so I am eager to take the DLX 380 out for a spin.

I hope this works for some of you!

Sixvolt, to me that is AWESOME, thanks for the post. I like to mess with the S chassis FC sleds, in the past I used plan "B" for them boots. Your findings are perfect.
What sled are the boots you used for ??

Glad to help! It's frustrating when a manufacturer ceases production of a part for an old machine. Bombardier must have killed this boot a while ago since no-one seems to even have NOS available.

This boot is not the official part for my DLX 380. However, Partzilla does a pretty good job of listing the models that do use this part: 508000203 at Partzilla

Seems to be mainly sleds with the 380 or 550 fan motor from 2002 to 2004.

I took particular interest in this tread because we have a 1996 and a 1998 Formula S sitting in my barn. These are the grandchildren's sleds.

Just fired up my ‘95 ski-doo skandic 500 after 7 years of sitting. 4th pull. 3000 miles. Replaced the gas and have moved onto the seals and gaskets. Gas lines are still supple, so if it’s not broke I’m not going to try to fix it. Hopefully I can get the little gunk there is out of the bottom, but everything looks to be in great shape, minus the seat.
