I bought some plugs when I got home I noticed they said BR9ECSS -5

normally they only say BR9ECSS.....what's -5

I know they are pre gaped to .020 for Ski doo
but normally the #6669 are gaped to .018

there is no br9ecss-5 the right number is br9ecs-5 stock number 6669 for .18" gap, the -5 stands for a hotter burning plug which is what ski-doo and the dealers have told me and everyone else, i also just bought a whole box of these, i dont what the sdi plug numbers are.

There is a BR9ECSS.... BR9ECS SOLID CAPS (not the silly screw caps)

and no the - 5 is not a hotter burning plug...the 9 is the heat range...

the -5 is the gap

and the box you bought is not gapped to .018...they are gapped to .020

B = thread diameter (14mm)
R = construction (resistor type)
9 = heat range (2 being the hottest...10 being the coldest)
E = Reach (19mm 3/4")
C = Firing end (dual ground)
S = Firing end (standard Center electrode)
S = Solid Cap
- 5 = Gap

I have seen some bre9ecs that say .5 mm on the box. That would be gap of
.019-.020 close enough to .018. they also have a solid conection.
