Bikeman 800 REV Exhaust Pipe

We have tested a lot of pipes and I can tell you that the Bikeman Pipe made the best power of all the pipes we have tested. I have never run any exhaust pipe on any of my sleds but after testing the pipe, for the first time I will be runing a pipe, the Bikeman 800REV pipe. We will soon have pipes in stock and we can cross ship the pipes to our US Customers as well. As soon as they are in stock we will have them on our website with pricing etc. -- Bill

Was this testing performed on a stock 800? Is this just a simple swap? No other changes needed?

Thanks
We ran the pipe on a full stock engine power tech and non power tech, a stock engine with our billet head, a ported engine with a stock head, and a ported engine with our billet head and the gains were across the board. We have field tested the pipe in both a stock engine sled and on my own persoanl sled, the only changes we found with engine was to change the jetting on all the circuits. In the clutch on both sleds more weight had to added to the clutching to capture the pipe gains fully. Hope this is helps answer your question. -- Bill
I suppose you have not had an 800R engine to put one of the Bikeman pipes on yet...I would like to see what it makes with the 800R.

We will be doing that shortly for the 800R. -- Bill
Bill, great news. However were the pipes tested with the stock canister, or was there a diff one in place. ( hps,j/T, bikeman, dynoport).? Thanks.
They were all done with the stock muffler. -- Bill

Sounds good bill...

How wide/narrow is the powerband?
The power band with the pipe is about the same as stock 400 to 500RPM wide, a little narrower with the ported motor 300 to 400 wide. But both are very clutchable. -- Bill
Its hard to beat Doo pipes. Can you keep enough heat in the pipe so it works well in the trails, especially the twisties? How many sizes are increase on the mains?

Thanks

Bill are you going to stock Bikeman cans for 1000s too?

Thats great news for the 800's Bill...how about the 600 pipe...are you planning on testing the 600 pipe at all...on carb'd and SDI's ?
The increase in the main jet was one size but we also did some other fuel delivery changes at the same time. No problem with pipe heat especialyy since you can put the insulation and heat sheild back on the pipe. Gummy I can get you the Mach Z can, and yes we are going to test the 600 pipe as well. -- Bill
As soon as BMP has them back in stock and we are on top of the list for our orders, probably by next Thursday. -- Bill
I am very interested in putting the new BMP Stealth Rev 800 Single Pipe on my 2005 renegade 800h.o. powertek.

my sled is completly stock and I ask myself...can I just put the pipe on and enjoy the additional power...or do I have to change the jet and the clutching to feel something with that pipe?

is it dangerous for my engine to run a pipe like that without any changes???
how much hp gain should I get if my powertek remains fully stock ...only the pipe?

let me know about that

Antoine
I am by no means posting on behalf of Bill but I have been diggin for a while and have found that the recommendations are: 20 pilots, .020 shim under the needle and 1 main bigger for less than 10F.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally I'm changing to 20 pilots w/out the pipe to cure the back fire and raising the needle wouldn't hurt the lean midrange anyway. I'd much rather find out it's a little fat than too lean on the mains.

What kind of numbers were you coming up with for HP
Tinker is right about the jetting changes, but I would go the one size richer all of the time. As for HP numbers we do not post numbers but I can tell you that we have dynoed virtually all of the pipes out there and the BMP rises to the level a lot better than the rest. -- Bill
