I have a semi-new trailer tongue lift sitting around. I was thinking.
How about converting a used trailer tongue jack to lift my track? Cut a short section of PVC or any pipe, in half. (So as to not crush the jack body.) Place the 1/2 pipe on the jack tube body. Then attach 2 or 3 heavy U-bolts to it. A short chain with large S hooks. Whala. A low-cost DIY lift.
Any thoughts or improvements to my idea?
This is a pic of the tongue jack; pretty universal for most trailer tongues.

I picked up an old '70's style car bumper jack and added a bracket to it...... Works like a charm and only cost me $20
