Just bought an 14 freeride and the guy I bought it from but 42" a-arms on it. Did know that till after the fact. But any who, was looking for what people like or dis like about aftermarket a-arms. Looking to buy 38"ers seen alternative impact and zbroz. Was hoping to maybe get some input. Thanks.
HyGear Suspension sells Slicast adjustable A arms. I don't have any info from those who have bought them, but they are adjustable from what the product info says. Also not sure if they're availble in anything but 43in. Maybe worth calling them about.
I have a set of the Z-bros - good product but I would check and see if they have updated the 38" upper arms to use the newer stock style ball joint, if not you have to add in the cost of buying ball joints. Really too bad that Skidoo does not offer this width in a kit like the S36 and 42".
They have heim joints that mount to spindle for upper and lower arms. Easy repair if you hit something, and they will save the sled from s-mod/ bulkhead damage in most cases.
Perfect, now order them raw and pc or anodize them whatever color you want since they only offer 2 colors...that's what I'm going to do once work picks back up and I got more $$$.
Edit...or polish the heck outta the raw finish til it shines so bright you'll see em from 100 miles away.
