Adrenaline shocks to clickers

495 Views 11 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  DareDog
Just got me some clickers for the front of my 05 SDI. Before I swap em out a couple of questions;

I know how the remote resevoir mounts on a non-SDI but where do they on a SDI? I have an idea but if anyone has a pic of their current set-up it would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone else has done such a swap and has any tips to make it easier,better,faster,look better please pass it along,help a brother out..

Thanks

I domt think an SDI and non-SDI are any different as far as the frame and body are converned. What kind of shocks and ressies? Do you have a pic?
Shocks are off a 06 440...The crossmember below the headlight on mine is taken up with all the electronics associated with the SDI,sooooo I assumed Doo mounted the resevoirs elsewhere????? Don't have any pics but I could snap some tonight if necessary..

I would look into fabricating a shelf in front of the current crossmember to mount the 440 Resivors.

ooh new shox!
arctic cat straps them with radiator clamps..to the inner shock tower. my buddy upgraded to ressies, and he knotched out 2 small slots in the plastic (shock tower)and fed a velcro strap through to hold em tight. it looks neat and clean, and they dont budge at all, easy access and out of the way.

I was thinking that if they come on "X" model SDI's,maybe I won't need to fabricate,halfass anything???? Seeing it's all Doo stuff wouldn't there be an alternate mounting spot for SDI models??? I'm not looking for step by step here,just wanna have some knowledge so it will go easy and right...Thanks for all input so far and keep it coming...
you'll need a pic of the new sdi-xrs to see how doo mounted them.

doo might have fastened them to the inside of the front bumper.
How bout this....1x1 aluminum square tubing on the front flange of the nun....the black marks are where the slots for the hose clamps would be.Fits like a glove on my sled.

i like it as well, i mounted my new to me clickers in my 04 carbed where everyone else does, removed the spare belt holder though. was going to mount that in a few different places but with that mod pic,can you now put the belt back in its original spot on the crossmember? does it fit?
1" c-channel? id or od...
