Ive got the motor(RKTek 734) out of my sled again so I decided to clean the power valves out. After cleaning, I started dinking around with them and it got me wondering if I should set them up differently. The way they were adjusted it would allow the guillotene to slide way up in its pocket past the roof of the exhaust port. It seems like it would be smoother for the exhaust flow if the travel stopped as soon as it became flush with the port. Or is that extra space beneficial from a volume stand point? Just trying to get a little better at this hot rod snowmobile thing. Every couple of ponies helps.
