Headlight is barely on, no tach lights or tail light. But the sled runs good??
Where should I start looking and will riding hurt it?

This sled went in waist deep water last weekend. I drained all the water out and it ran fine the rest of the weekend. It has been in a heated garage alll week.

my guess would be either voltage regulator, stator, or cdi

A while back the lighting coil went on my 98Z. Very similiar problem as yours except I had no headlight. Sled was running just fine, never missed a beat. I happened to look down while riding and noticed I had no tach. I soon realized all my gauges and lights were out. The bad news is the lighting coil is part of the stator so that's what I had to replace (at least I was able to ride for the day and it didn't leave me stranded like when my stator did go the second year I had it!).
