Did you check: the thermostat, system purged of all the air, is coolant circulating? possibly broken impeller on water pump. 94 Machs did run hot but not that hot.

If you have recently had the hoses off the head see if you didnt get them backward, i only mention it because we all learn the hard way sometimes. top

The hose off the thermostat housing DOES NOT go to the bottle. It goes to the heat exchangers under the seat. Make sure you hose from the thermostat housing goes to the heat exchangers or you will overheat all day long.

After you make sure the thermostat is opening, and is up to temp. Open the coolant reservoir with motor running and the coolant should be circulating/churning. Water pump is below your exhaust on base, mag/center cyls. side. 6-7 bolts attaching it to base,semi-circle shape on end towards flywheel. Remove & pullout shaft/seals assy. Impellar should be tight on shaft, should not be able to twist it with minimal effort. Have seen them strip, only plastic. Check bearings while your at it. Oh yea, drain coolant FIRST ... Hope this helps. CHECK all of the easier possibilities of cause stated in above posts FIRST. Dave
