Maxx Ecu
It is bluetooth compatible to view live data while driving in your Android smart phone or tablet and can accommodate everything from a completely stock sled to a built engine with bigger turbo etc etc
Is bluetooth only usable on android?

All that being said how safe is the stand alone replacement ecu tune from hurricane performance?
well if the hurricane ecu runs anything more than 18.5 with the stock injectors then it is running with no safety margin in the injectors so not very safe.
once a injector hits 90% duty cycle it is basically wide open...no more fuel can come out.
my stock mach z for comparison with the maxxecu and bigger injectors running 250kpa (21.5~psi) runs at around 62% duty cycle at wideopen throttle at 8200rpm and .79 lambda
And that was with VP Madditive and zero knock in the log. A very happy and safe engine!

I had hoped the omission of Hurricane from my list of 3 safe, reliable offerings says volumes without saying anything...

Your sled must haul arse vs a stocker?

@68gmc , I assume you have ran the Hurricane Ecu?, or at least have first hand knowledge?. I'm asking to know, not asking to spread BS etc. I'm just a fellow gear head, trying to weed out the BS..

I have first hand knowledge of the aftermath of the Hurricane ECU yes. Best case scenario some poor starting, drivability issues. Worst case scenario you are looking for an engine and that is not cool!

@68gmc @legend007 , is the Hurricane ECU with a upgraded Injector good?.
Hurricane to the best if my knowledge does not have an injector upgrade option available and is still concentrating on refining his stock injector tune. I am sure he will eventually get there and have a sound offering the the 900r but he rushed to market and unfortunately it did not go well IMHO!

Yes it pulls way better and the boost curve is alot more fun to drive. At 21ish psi the stock turbo is basically getting close to running out of breath. I run it now at 245kpa and will stay there until i upgrade equipment.

340kpa on the trail makes things interesting...
😊

Happy Trails!

So Maxx ecu, bigger injectors, what psi and HP is the stock r turbo good for?
At 22.5psi the stock turbo is out of wind and out of its efficiency range. It's alright for short WOT runs as long as IAT's are kept in check but realistically 21psi is the boost level to run on the trail and for any extended WOT runs. 225 to 230hp is all you can realistically expect to squeeze out of the stock turbo IMHO.
