Have you heard any feedback from dealers about this sloppy fit in the coupling on the G5 sleds?I thought the chain case failures were in the mountain sleds, that often run at full throttle for longer periods of time
If it's an issue in mountain sleds it's just a matter of time on a trail sled.
Well so far I've picked up a new Garmin, glovebox extension, travel cover, tunnel protectors and C&A ski mounts.

Still waiting on prices to drop on Studboy studs and double backer plates.

Only two things I can't seem to find in stock anywhere are Agressive Snowtrackers and the new Ski-Doo heated visor plug.

Need to spread out the buys anyway to keep the excitement up.

I am getting my dealer to install my Tunnel protectors. Complete pain in the ass.

What Garmin?
And do you have the correct part # for the cover for the XRS?
Thanks

DriveSmart 65. Thing is awesome. Displays texts, calls, voice activated, runs Alexa, etc.

I only needed a light cover not a Ski-Doo one. One to put on during overnights on saddlebag trips.

Yah what a pain eh. I'm not running the full protector b/c I'm only running Stud Boy Power Point + Plus Studs - 1.375in. which is the same height as the approved Woody's.

Will it accept the off road maps? Not all that expensive either 👍

Aleast put 1.450 studs. Or just a waste. U would even feel them. Just helping out

Sorry I'm not sure what off road maps are. I've used Trakmaps for Ontario maps for years. The Drivesmart series is compatible for their snowmobile and atv maps but not their Topo/Marine maps. I got mine on eBay. It was only a couple hundred bucks used and looked brand new.

I'll be pairing it up with my helmet communicator and look forward to testing the audible turn by turn directions, voice commands for music, volume, mute through Alexa. It even has a satellite weather app that shows you weather fronts moving in your area.

It'll free up my hands so I can spend all ride trying to get the stupid handwarmer/thumbwarmer ratio correct and scrolling down through the warmth levels!!!

Thanks Legend. Yes normally I would but I've been heavily studded the last couple sleds I've had and with this one I'm going with a little lighter more playful rear end feel. I'll be much better than studless or pre-studded. If I hate this one-ply track then I'll change it all up. Cheers

Did you just get the glovebox extension or the phone holder also?
How will you mount the gps to the cover?

Bought the Ski-Doo Glovebox Extension / GPS Support REV Gen5 (Trail) 860202436. The round mount that comes with the GPS is what I will use to mount it. Just need to drill a hole through the center of the mount and bolt it to the glovebox extension door. I have a double USB connector with an on/off switch from last sled that I will wire direct to the starter solenoid for constant power even when machine is off.

I change track right away on all new skidoos to two ply

Curious as to why Legend? Don't like the lug pattern? Problems in the past with wear? I've seen lots with lots of km's on them.
They don’t last and balloon to much. I have a shop and change none stop tracks on skidoos. I am loyal skidoo guy a skidoo should do a better job as most other brands have two ply right from stock Lots of lugs missing and delaminating

I talked to a guy that rides in BC and 8 of his buddies all have the same sled, 2023 Summit 850's and NOT one of them have seen or heard of the drive shaft issue. However, he did say that the chain gets extremely loose within 100 miles of riding. He said they have to check it before every ride.

I dont really understand skidoo's logic and only put the 2 ply on the Mach. I mean the 2024 XRS with SS is a mere image of the Mach, but then they switched to a single ply? Makes no sense. Not sure what is going to show up on the sled as my dealer and my snow Check receipt shows 2 ply. But, I am pretty sure its going to be a 1 ply. I have seen alot of 1 ply Ice rippers 1.50 and larger lug tracks delaminate, but I have not seen a 1.25" ripsaw do it. The SP 1.25" ripsaw does not balloon or create near the heat as the other tracks. I am running 144, 1.50" Fast Trac Routins with plastic backers this year.

If it doesn't show up with a 2 ply what track are you running Rotax? A 1.25 Rip2?
SP or 2pl, I am going to run the ripsaw, as it is faster up top... I was leaning to the rip2, but then I changed my mind. Camo said the rip 2 is 2-3mph slower then a ripsaw. The rip2 will help on the bottom, but midrange to top end would go to the ripsaw with studs. I ran a 1" ripsaw 2ply (stock Track) on my Tcat and It only gave up a little on the bottom against an 850 BC. After 100-200 feet, then I was gone past it and that was when the Tcat was stock and in softer trail conditions. In hard conditions, I walked away right out of the gate. The ripsaw works great in good groomed trail conditions and that's all I really ride in.
