There is only one wire that has to be spliced in it’s a power wire and a ground. Not a big deal. Mcx has been doing it for years that way all the way back to 2009

I don't like the idea of drilling into the throttle body.
Yes u have to do that but really not a big deal if done right it’s a very small hole and tap. But there will be guys that don’t like that. It’s great that there is other options out there. And it’s really how much power u are looking for.

New '24 XRS 900 Turbo R on the way. Haven't made a decision of a tune yet. Still debating what to do with the '22 Mach Z..

For those looking to use the piggyback system from MC Express if you call the place in Montana it's going to be around 1500 this year with 217 horsepower and a blow off valve with the kit $500 deposit required also supposed to have more mid-range torque just a heads up
Is that $1500 USD? Last year's price if I recall was around $1000 or $1300 CDN. Sounds like a BOV included now but getting closer and closer to PEFI's 1R pricing.

Good to have multiple options.

Looking at the MCX instructions I dont see why a person could not use the PEFI map shim to get the boost signal, avoiding to drill into the throttle body. It works for PEFI 218 kit, I doubt there is any change in boost signal. Also to be fair on pricing add a BOV to PEFI tune. MCX BOV where does it vent? Never seen one like that.

Yup certainly MCX is cheaper just not the gap that there was awhile ago when I first started looking at vendors. If you add a BOV to PEFI with tune you are at $2500. MCX is $2000, add a shim you are at $2100. Getting pretty close.

I’m in much the same situation. Have a new sled coming but no sure what I’m going to do with my Mach Z.

I'm going to leave mine stock as far as HP. At least during the warranty.
I'm coming off a expedition sport , so power won't be an issue.

After tuning my TCAT, I dont like any of the options.... We will see how it all shakes out.... But, I will say this.... It still seems there is still testing going on from some of these venders, so I am going to be patient to make sure they are reliable before I jump the gun. I seen the mess that happened to the 998 from rushing stuff to the market.

One comment that was brought up in an older post was the fact the MCX hits much harder in the midrange then the PEFI tune, and in reality thats where most people want it most is in the midrange, top end is ok but is seldom used for everyday riding. Look at the dyno sheets to see the boost difference in the midrange.

When I was talking to Greg today at Goodwin performance he's interested in getting involved in the four-stroke turbo tuning more and more I got them hooked up with turbo Dynamics so now I'm trying to point him in the right direction with this y he'll have clutch setups and he did a lot of work with the turbo poo last year and he said that a lot of guys we're having problems with top end like the thing pulls a lot of timing out of the motor see what the summer brings he's checking into things now

Are you both getting SS on your new rides?
23 xrs 900r 4,000 miles now. already have acelerated technology springs all around. for next year. rebuild all shocks. rears will be sent to accelerated technologies for a valve job. clutches rebuilt all new components. dupont sliders. going with isovibe for handlebars. also doing ds2 skis. also putting on the linq 1+1 seat base for extra linq spot.

Not an option on mine. Would likely have gone that route if available.

i ran my brothers xrs 850 with the mcx mach z we have, rolling start around 40 mph i let him hit wot first and i still put at least 8 sleds on him through mid range and it held on top end. The mcx kit works well

Does TD even offer anything for the 900r?

How did you like the spring kit?
