800 Y pipe mod?

Back in the day there was a Y-Pipe mod for the 670 motor that would get you a 3-5hp. Can this same mod be done on the current 800's? Seems like if it would work on one it would work on another but I have never heard of this mod on anything but the 670?

I hear that cats are doing that to make power but if would have worked on a rev it would have been on here a long time ago i would imagine. great ?
