Hi all,

Today I picked up a spare 800 to have for my 04 adrenaline. Not certain but I think it's not an 800ho. The PTO seal does not have a cover. The tag on the motor says Type 783 (not 783ho).

Questions:

1) are the cranks interchangeable?

2) i seem to recall two trigger coils on my ho but there's just one on the motor I got today. Why is this? will I be able to do a swap without changing the electronics?

3) looks like I'll be needing a crank and one jug. Anyone have these for cheap?

4) max hp is not real important to me. Is this a worthwhile project to do as a spare or should I just part it out and cut my losses?

5) has anyone else got experience with this swap and what should I look out for?

Thanks everyone for your time.

Don

Unless someone put ho cylinders on std. 800 cases the motor you have is a 800 non ho.The reason there is only one trigger is because it doesnt have rer so you would have to swap over your electronics I beleive your ho has a different watt stator as well.

cranks don't swap because there is an additional seal between the pto bearings. I've got the best price on newly replated cylinders you'll find. PM me.
