Add 2 more to the list. My 2023 Gade XRS 850 w/ss 1650ish miles and my buddies 22 Gade X 900T 2600ish miles both did it yesterday with in 10 miles of each other. First time either one has done it. We thought it was strange that's why I was searching on here. I told him if it hasn't happen to anyone else, I'm blaming the spy balloon. lol

could this freezing be cause by a bug in there software since they had there stuff hacked back in I think oct and when the dess post were installed than hooked up to buds system it updates ecm

The dealer called today. BRP wants them to "try a couple of things." I said how about your tech swaps the perfectly functioning gauge outta my 2020, and places it in my 2021.Put the 2021 problem gauge in the 2020. Flash both sleds, and we'll see if the problem remains with the 2021, or follows the gauge.
An hour later the phone rings. BRP is sending another gauge.

i have 2023 900 renegade turbo r it has 1400 miles .it has been freezing since day one..when i shut down and restart all info is correct.when frozen nothing functions on dash .

Issue seems more often in snow dust ,and behind another sled Dielectric grease might help ?

i haven't experienced any snow dust yet but freezes up about 20 minutes into ride shut it down and restart after a break and every thing is back to normal mileage, time, gas gauge ,tach, etc.20 minutes later froze again

Many sleds were doing this last year, well before the hack took place, so I don't see that as a cause.

Going to be a lot of used sleds with guage issues and the wrong miles showing going forward.

I went all day Saturday freeze free, Sunday it froze every time I started it. It's nothing to do with temperature, snow dust, etc. I'm stumped.

I've actually been able to ride this week, 160 on Sunday, another 217 this morning. I was literally 2 miles from the house and was thinking "this seems to be working ok, maybe I won't get it switched". Nope, jokes on me - not only did it freeze up, the temp was in hyroglifics when it started back up.

And ironically, when I got home I had a VM saying my new gauge was in. Good timing. 👍

A new cluster went in the sled today. Zero snow to try it here. Heading to the Gaspe mid-month to try it out before the warranty expires. Tech told me one sled he worked on this winter took 4 clusters before the issue was solved.

Yep!

the 7.2 is known to lock up from RF interference.
if your using a communicator it may be your issue
if no RF then you may have a junk cluster

The display freezes, but the mileage counters keep going in the background. When you restart the sled, the gauge shows the correct mileage.

Doo has recently changed gauge/cluster suppliers, so YES, quality has been a concern lately.
