What would be faster? Any kind of 670 or a 780 triple?

I'm just asking because I keep hearing about how fast the 670's are, and i'm just wondering how it would stack up to a 780.

They are decent, i would have to go with a 670 over a 780 in 600ft. Any more than that the 780 has it. The H.O all the way no doubt what the length. Like to see one in a Rev thats for sure.

i love twins to but i dont see how a 125-129hp 670 ho could win across the lake when the mach is pushing 155hp. maybe the 670 will get the whole shot but wont hold it for long.

Hi all my 93 Mach 1 did 89Mph in the 1000' while a 93 Mach Z went 92Mph. This was back in 94, the Z had just had all the updated done to it. I thought that was pretty close considering the difference in engine size.

There is no way a heavy old 780 is going to put a 670HO to "shame" on the lake. Ihad a 95 MACH 1 and it took every bit of the 1/4 mile stretch for my buddy's 780 to get by me. I'm not saying he didnt, I'm saying barely! And if you think a 780 makes 155 hp your on drugs right off the show room floor 135hp tops!

If thats the case it makes it even worse he couldnt run away from a 118-120hp twin.

I had a 95 780 amd a 97 800. The 97 800 was faster than the 780 for sure.
I have a friend who also had a 670 HO that raced locally with it. It would stay with both the 780 and 800 for about 50 feet and then the gap grew larger between the 670 and the Machzs in favour of the Mach.

I know mines having some problems right now, but I've taken both the 670 HO and an F7 in the 1000'. Neither one saw it coming, they saw "an old tank at the line"

I'm comparing it against my factory twin piped 44mm carbed 95 MACH 1 and I NEVER said the 780 wasnt a fast sled. I said he creeped by me on the top and it took every bit of the 1/4 run to do it!
