Hi all,

So for most of this winter my 1999 Formula Z 670 has been running very well. I have the CvTech Primary clutch set to engage at 4500 RPM and a top RPM of 7600. Normally it climbs up to 7600 RPM rather quickly. Lately I have been having trouble getting it over 7000. At times, if I let go of the throttle and pin it again I`ll get 7200 RPM. Simply feels like I have lost some power overall and it is very obvious on the top end... Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Probably best to check the compression first. If all is well, I'd replace the spark plugs. The belt and clutching can be a factor no doubt but if the engine isn't running up to snuff, you"ll be chasing your tail

With this warmer weather, I noticed that I have been running rather rich, dropped my needles down two notches and it's good now. Fun when a simple adjustment does it.

Thanks!
