I would get a 2009 used head then pull it totally apart (engine) and check the damage. get a machinist to measure and check the new used head to the engine cases and new pistons and cylinders if needed. I would not try to save the head for numerous reasons.

I was guessing its junk but wast sure if it could be polished up and used. Im gonna look for a used one. Thanks. I love this site.
technically yes it can be used. the sled will run again on the head if you do some smoothing and rework on it. but the big question is why you would. eBay probably has them. the sled will run way better on a non-dented dome at 8000 rpm with less detonation risk. ect ect i would want to know where else all those cageless bearings went.

It was a caged bearing. I found all the needles still in the rod end. I pieced together the cage and found 1 small missing piece. That missing piece was found stuck in the top of the piston. Im 99.99% sure the lower end is good. Before I reassemble the top I will definetly try to blow out the crank case and maybe use a small magnet to look for any debris in there.
Just have a machinist check the used head for flat to the cylinders. Also have them check the new piston to wall make sure you get what you need or it blows from up too tight. Probably run one of the thicker base gaskets also.
