Hi Guys,
I had a bit of hard starting on my 2010 550f grand touring. So I was cleaning the carbs and found that it seems that 2 carbs have different main jets. I do not know what the numbers mean, but i think one says 190 and another 200. But I was expecting them to be same.
What should the stock number be?

The higher the number, the higher the fuel flow, the richer the air/fuel mixture is, THE COLDER the cylinder operating temperature will be. They are of different size because the MAG cylinder (right) is hit by cold air first, the PTO cylinder (left) is cooled by the warmed up air coming from the MAG cylinder. That's crappy fan cooled twin engine for you, and this particular one is the worst of the worst.
I managed to equalize cooling between both cylinders, and both sides of each cylinder as well, through extensive work. So my carbs jetting are identical now. The cylinder heads cooling, however, are a near impossible challenge to undertake because of the 45° angle of the fins.

Too rich? Type of gas makes no difference on rich/lean.

I do find it interesting that the needle clip position is different on each. Had not seen that before.

I've seen the jet sizes different on liquid cooled sleds as well. It is rare, and typically it is the for same reason, the fluid is flowing from left to right (PTO to MAG) and one side would run a little hotter than the other.
