Hey everyone. As the season is approaching us, just curious on who is buying oil by the 5 gallon jug. And what your dealers are charging. (Yes I am talking XPS, not interested in any OTHER brands. Let’s not go there)

I bought 2x 2.5gal jugs and 4x 1gal jugs like 4 years ago. I just keep getting them refilled at st onge. Not sure what pricing will be like this year but XPS pricing is set by BRP, I've never seen a dealer charge more or less than another. Private lodges up north are another story but that's to be expected.
Back in the early 2000s when my brother & I were still using Bombi oil, the dealer we patronized, would buy the oil by the 45 gallon drums & refill 4L jugs @ a discount. I haven't of any dealerships doing the same in recent years. Now that I've has a 4S since 2018, it's not something I watch for.
You guys are all talking about filling jugs and having 5gal's of XPS... I thought that BRP banned the sell of bulk oil several years ago!
I find better pricing on the 1 gallon jugs at Nelson's sno motion (end of August). They were right around $50 OTD per gallon, at that time. Same price per gallon basically as the 2.5 gallon jugs if dealer gives a discount. I'd expect better pricing from a 5 gallon jug.
