I have a #6 base gasket in a 03 440x right now with low compression heads. With a compression tester i get 120psi. If i install a #5 base gasket how much will the compression increase? My03 800x (trail) has 135 psi stock. Any help would be nice.
With the LC heads, you want the .3 mm basegasket. That will raise your compression up to 130-135psi+ were you need to be with the pump heads.. Although the thicker basegaskets produce more torque, use the SMALLEST basegask with the LC domes. If your still not happy with the .3mm basegasket (which i'm sure you WILL be) Contact me and i'll set you up with a .1mm basegasket. Also, make sure your rings are in decent shape too. Because the SMALLEST basegasket wont improve your compression too much unless your rings are in "working" order. -Chris
