Been reading up on my motor a little bit.

My 1995 Formula STX 583 comes with two 38MM carbs, while the 1997 sleds with the 583 in it have 40MM carbs. If I switched to 40MM carbs, would I gain more throttle response or power??? What would the benefits be?

Your Formula Z probably does have 40s, my 1995 STX has 38s though, so wondering if bigger carbs that are meant for this engine would equal more power.

Thanks!

Not enough to warrant the swap IMO. I speant at lot of time tuning with a 583 summit motor in 97, they also used 38's and a milder RV timing (than the mxz). The bigger carbs didn't gain much on this motor, if anything, and were noticably softer on the bottom end.
