Does anyone have the link to the Lynx manual for the proper procedure of Lynx Suspension adjustments? Figured I would learn that inside and out and set the machine up with a base line come fall.

You just have to select Lynx top left, then I believe you pick model lower left if I remember right.

I downloaded it to my phone so haven't opened it this way in a couple weeks. You'll figure it out.

Tomorrow I am taking the Rave out for a ride.

I had the opportunity to take out the 3900 Lynx Boondocker last weekend. It was a blaster. I am a mature rider and don't have any experience on this type of machine. Started riding 6 years ago with a Yamaha Venture, then had 2 Expedition sports and snow checked a BC XRS last spring. So the closest I have come to the Lynx is a BC.

When I started up the Lynx and started on our way I did find the riding position when sitting different than the BC. I did not touch any suspension on the Lynx so I did find the ride of the BC smother. Once we hit the first open pit the fun started. I have never wheellied a machine before in my life. Well this thing stood on it's hind legs and made me look like I knew what is was doing. In the powder this machine is awesome. Just thing about turining and with just the smallest amount of lean it went exactly where you wanted to go. Holding on it's edge was effortless.

Most fun I had with a machine.

Looking forward for tomorrow to see how the Rave handles.

Might have to change machines again.

Take note of how MUCH better the clutching is then our backcountrys are !!! The RAVE RE has probably the best skid on the snow for terrain. Take note how the CTS " centre track shock " has a true rising rate from the motion ratio created by its geometry. This is huge compared to our Skidoo decade old technology in the skid. Doesn't mater in a groomed trail BUT let's face it folks groomed trails are in serious trouble in the years to come. Bring on the Lynx models. We've been waiting

A coupled trail skid will always have its place, but more and more trails are being less maintained with more traffic. Ive noticed a big difference the past few years in my area. The more I think about it the more I think i'd sacrifice perfect flat cornering on a perfect groomed trail to be able to take some of the moguls with ease. With the lynx, proper suspension tuning and you can do both. To top it off the lynx will off-trail better than a coupled skid as well.
 
Im 5'7" and was surprised to hear the article mention its for taller riders. Hope my short "edited for inappropriate language" doesnt regret ordering this machine :)
I am even shorter and it fits me better then any Skidoo I have ridden in the past 5 years or so! With the narrow design it gives my shorter legs the ability lean into the turns much better then the G4 chassis. It may be good for the tall rider but it's great for the shorter rider!

if anything, us shorter guys are saving a couple bucks on not needing a taller riser that some have said is needed. :lol:
 
5'8 here. I've only sat on one, but felt I'd want a taller riser also. Wife and I are getting rid of a '17 TNT 850, got a couple '20&21 MXZ XRS's that are our primary rides. Planning on the Rave being our extra, but thinking it might get ridden as much as the other 2. She's 5'6 and felt it needed more riser also.
 
I just read the SnoTech article and they are saying the rider position is 4'' more rearward and higher on the seat , like 15'' .

Is there anyone out there that could take the gade xrs and superimpose it on the Rave or vice versa , so we could see the difference

or a similar side by side comparison that would highlight the seating difference .

I got some miles on one, I am 6'1" and it felt really good, I'll probably go with a slightly bigger Riser but not much, what I also like is how the seat is more level and not sloped forward and pushing you forward like the G4 seat, it's very weight sensitive and a freaking gas to ride!

Sure are a lot (most) vids from experienced guys saying the same thing about this sled...and a few saying it's the best cornering sled they have ever had, and the best currently 2021 [emoji106]
I'm a believer, and for me, made it an easy spring check choice.

So looking forward to next season on this beast.
