2,000 miles. Found a leak near the water pump. Will be taking apart tonight. Clamps are tight and dry on the bottom. Must be the weep hole, pump gasket or rotary seal. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks for the help. Font Screenshot Auto part Automotive design Advertising

Try the gasket first, obviously. The impeller spins off the pump shaft, simply threaded. The mechanical seal is held to the cases with two allen bolts behind the impeller.

Going to test it tomorrow. Had to repace whole shaft with seal. And for future reference it can be accomplished with the motor in the sled. All kinds of room in there.

Wow, my bad. Never thought that shaft would come out while she is "down in the hole"! Even getting a new one in there, good on ya!

Its the water pump seal behind the pump!
So it was leaking out of a weep hole of sorts?

I believe I'm having the same issue. Did you replace the whole shaft or just the seal on the shaft?

Just to follow up on my above comment, I fixed the sled this weekend, and can confirm that the job can be done in the sled.
