Dealer says he's hoping to have demo rides latter in month and might add boost to one if allowed by rep.. Hope doo strengthened rods from the issues we had on boosted etecs last few years..

Can't wait to throw a leg over one soon, new track sounds like a winner, but time will see

How much boost are you guys running that you're seeing rod failures?

Seams over ten lbs is when they start letting go forsure, but some guys are saying it happened to them at 8 lbs.. It seams anything over six is the end of the safety zone

I think it has more to do with feeding enough octane for your elevation and boost. Knock on wood I am fours years out on my Turbo Perfomance Etec without a problem....most of that time has been at 8-10 pounds.

Lots of big news tonight on the release.. Goods vids floating around when they are up..

Motor has secondary injectors on throttle body's, jack shaft been raised over throttle body's and oil tank moved above new primary.. Stouter rods, crank, lighter stator.. This motor is being built for one thing... Boost.. I bet they will be releasing their own aftermarket turbo kit that.. Probably no warrenty but a direct bolt on

This machine will be a winner..

Some good info here Fred.

Man i feel for these guys building 860 Etec Big Bore kits...No need for one of those now... with the new 850 from BRP with warranty.

The numbers will only get bigger from here. No reason to feel bad. I'm hearing talks of a 920 :D.

could be larger...I know one builder who has a running 950 Etec but required a completely new top end

Oil tank above the primary ?
That will be the new auto lube system for the primary, belt and secondary. Sweet.

It is looking like the new 850 etec will be the new build...880? 900? 920? It will be exciting to see what come down the pipe line in the next few year.

How about a Boosted 920cc? Smoke the drive belt right off her. :wink_old: There will be some interesting engine builds.

His will be the 917, 922 has too thin of cylinder walls :rofl

No clue about triggs but have a BJ 860 turbo on the Aero and the few miles I got on it rocks like no else.. Now if BJ can do a 925 on this new one.. I will be the first to Order it for the 17 etec
