quick question guys, last year i had replaced the relay(by the chaincase) due to the guage shutting off and all lights, replaced that and all was good. now i had the guage restart a few times while riding wondering if that is the relay failing again? i dielectric greased all connections and checked grounds which were fine. no pins are bent in the guage pod either... i have heard the relays do fail often just wondering as to why? voltage spike?? thanks in advance

Can't say I have ever heard of the gauge restarting. For the cost of a relay, I would give that a shot again.

I think the relays fail for a variety of issues... quality (most made in China).... vibration.... how well they are sealed from moisture from the factory.... cycling of the relay.
