So had this trailer since last march, used it probably 6 times. I stopped for gas the other day and was told my left brake and left blinker was out. Got home and popped the lights out and thy looked fine. Switched the lights and the left one works fine in the right side and still no left side blinker or brake light. Thought it was my truck but hooked the truck to the camper and it works fine, hooked my bosses truck to my trailer still no left blinker, no left brake light. The trailer is new so I'm confused what the issue is. How can I trouble shoot to fix this? Should I replace the plug first and maybe that's the issue or start somewhere else?

yel. wire is for left turn / brake follow that from front to back and look for any splices or unsealed connectors have repaired quite a few of these. 2 were on brand new trailers

Your light socket is not grounded to the trailer anymore. If it is riveted on you will have to drill out the rivets and shine up the ground strap. Then either rivet back on or use some screws. When they switched from screws to rivets it was cheaper. Faster production, but sure screws up the repair. Try to fix that at a rest area or truck stop without a drill.

Guys thanks for all the help. How exactly do I get to the wiring and ground to check it all?? I haven't had time to get under it yet but when I took the light out I could barely see in there to see the wiring. Is there a specific spot in the trailer to check?

I would let the dealer do it but its mid season and the low snow winter we are having my free time is for riding the new sled not waiting for my trailer back lol

The light bulbs themselves cannot be changed. They are in a sealed light unit. I popped the unit out of the rubber surround and on the back of the light unit the light in one corner is three wires each individually plugged in. I originally expected it was a bulb, went to change it out and found out its sealed. So I switched it with the other side and its still the same. Then I knew it was much worse then I thought. I checked all the plug connections and all seem to be tight. All the wiring is inside the trailer rail in the back with no way in that I could see..

The ground for the trailer is at the back of the tongue. There should be two plugs there where the main wire splits to go to both sides. The white wire is ground. Do your left side running lights work? If not start with the plug, then hook it to your truck and start checking for power with a test light.

Cut the white wire, put an eyelet on it and ground it to the trailer. If you don't want to cut it, put a 3M clip with a short piece of wire on there and ground it. And I hate 3M clips!!!!!

Ok guys thanks! I think the first thing I will check is power from the truck plug trailer side to the end of the tongue where the next series of plugs is so at least i can know if its in the the trailer side truck plug. When I bought the trailer the 4 pole plug from trailer to truck was semi crushed and the prongs were bent sideways. I made them fix it before i took it home and they did no questions asked. Im kinda wondering now if they just bent it back into shape and maybe the prong is broke off the wire for the left signal and brake now that is been plugged in and out a decent mount of times.
Either way gotta love this.. brand new trailer and still wiring issues..

Im seriously thinking to do that myself too. I really would like to do that and run a wire for back up lights so i can see backing it up in the dark. But before I do any of that I want to figure this issue out. I figure since its under warranty still I will not mess with anything just check it over to see if i can find the problem. I fi cant find the problem then I may just deal with it until after the season and the dealer can fix it when they go to inspect it and it doesnt pass.
If it wasnt such a rough season and I needed to get all the riding in i could i would just have the dealer do all this now, but snow is not in abundance this season so i dont want to be without the trailer when theres some ridable snow right now, especially considering i bought the new sled this year.

If the dealer is that close and its a brand new trailer I would call them up and tell them you will bring it in and wait while they fix it. There is no way I would take a chance on getting rear ended or a ticket for something like that. If you get a 12V test probe you could find the problem yourself. Best get a probe anyway. If you are going to own a trailer its a must have.

^^^^^I think your right. I took a look today. After looking again behind the left rear (facing truck) light you can see the whole wiring right down to the front. I looked at everything and there is no brakes in the wires it all looks brand new like it should.
I didn't have time to look at the plug sections other then inspecting them while they are wrapped. They have this tight mesh over the connections so I can't see the plug but judging by how tight the mesh covering is I cannot see how anything would be able to come unplugged and all the wiring is clean and dry.
I'm starting to think its the 4pole plug on the trailer side. As I stated it was crushed when I picked it up, and they probably fixed it by simply bending the poles back. I'm going to call the dealer and see what they say. I really don't want to rip apart nice clean new wiring if I don't have too.

So I swapped it to a 7pole. Still didn't work. Upon further inspection I noticed one marker light next to the taillight that is hidden by the top mount kit wasn't working at all. Pulled that out and fixed the prong that was loose and it worked, but still the left blinker and stop didn't work.
Here's the interesting part without the running lights on like if your driving in the daytime the left signal and brake works fine. As soon as the running lights are on it doesn't work as a signal or brake only as a running light. I unhooked the running light power plug from it with the trailer running lights on and it works fine as a signal and brake light. So it works great unless the running light are on. I have no other issues at all. Anyone know wth is going on?
