2011 renegade xp backcountry with 800 p-tek. Started for the first time last week. Stabilizer added before storage, but stored with about 3 gallons of gas. Started and idled o.k.. Revs to about 3500 rpms and bogs out. Can pump the throttle and get the rev than bog. I did get a few a hundred yards of normal throttle response a couple of times after the rev/bog. Put the sled in a heated space in case there was anything frozen in the gas lines. Same thing after coming out of warm garage. Not sure if a fuel filter issue would prompt this? Would be surprized if it was a Pilot/Main jet issue based on gas conditioning at storage. Not sure what the other issues may be though. Weird that it starts and idles well, got a few 100 yard passes of normal response in between bog outs.

Help,

Marty

Marty, I believe you are on the right track. Check the pilots and other jets. The small orifice of the pilots leave them prone to blockage. Fuel stabilizer likely helps through storage, but all products are different. Best is to check the the pilots carefully before cleaning to get a good idea of any blockage. First look through them in the light, then blow through them very lightly to remove any gas without dislodging any light contaminants and check again in the light. Repeat with a little more force and check again. This will give you a much greater accuracy to asses blockage and how the product performed. Most potentially good learning experiences are lost through haste.
