just purchased a 2006 500ss..... proud owner of my first rev. Was wondering about the adjustments on the front shocks !!! they are set at the highest setting (shortest coil spring length) ... will this give me a softer or harder suspension feel on the front end ??

thanks

A compressed spring gives a harder ride, more tension is on the spring.
Setting the springs will depend on your weight and driving style.
The more you weight the stiffer the springs will have to be adjusted to handle the robustness of the rider.
The harder you ride the machine, the stiffer the springs will have to be to keep from bottoming out the suspension.
The best way is figure out the type of riding you like and then start adjusting to suit your style.
I thought that... I should initially start at a softer setting I suppose. I'm about 150lbs..

thanks for the feedback
