Doubt it. The sdi mag end crank stub is longer, as is the case, to accommodate the different stator. Keep looking for a 600 HO engine. An 03 700 has the same brg arrangement on the pto end, as does an
03 800, but they don't use the pto cover plate. An 04 800 case works also, but pay attention to the oil check valves. They don't protrude quite as far as the 600/700 ones

I think OP was asking if an '05 600SDI engine will bolt into his 2004 that has a blown 600SDI. If that's the question, the answer is yes.
