I had my sled out for a 300mile ride and used 4 litres of oil. What is the ammount I should be using? I have a 1000 mile trip planned and need to get this under control. Please Help??

i had been using about that much on my 04 renegade 800 x until we turned down the oil pump. i want to say we turned it down to the gap of an 18mm wrench, need two people, probably could go a little more but i figure don't want to wrisk blowing the motor.

It depends how much gas you were using, but unless you were going WFO the whole time it is drinking alot of oil.
