I purchased a 2003 James Bond edition from an estate auction of a friend who passed away. It is in fairly nice condition.
My second oldest son also has one that has been stored in my shed for several years. One question I have is the vin numbers are different. My latest purchase has a X in the mix. 2BPS2675X3V000…
My son’s is 2BPS267593V0000..
What would be the reason for the X in the vin?
Doing some research, they supposedly made 1000 of these world wide. I wonder how many are left?
They are not much different than my 05 GSX Limited 600ho SDI. Other that the 03 is carbureted
I like the full instrumentation of the James Bond sled.

I replaced the carbides, cleaned off the old license numbers that were located in the wrong spot. I will replace the windshield after I chrome it. That’s what they are supposed to have. I want to sand blast the A arms and repaint them after I disassemble them. The sled has 4970 miles on it. It was rebuilt on the top end and new V Force reeds installed 400 miles ago according to the previous owner.

I have experimented with painting plexiglass with mirror spray paint with successful results. It takes many light layers of spray paint to get the mirror to develop. Then topcoat with clear. This is from the inside of the windshield that the mirror paint is applied. That way it is protected and should look like chrome from the outside. The windshield that is on it, someone clear coated the outside and it is cracked and weathered. I do a lot of restoration work on sleds and vehicles, so, it will be fun to bring this sled back to a nice clean condition. I have already replaced a lot of rusty bolts and hardware on the skis.
